CV / Resume Tips To Help You Land a Job – Part 1

 July 7, 2021

By  Nidhi Belani

Every one of us has faced this situation when we are either making a CV or Resume for the first time or updating it for an upcoming interview.

How to put together a well-written CV / Resume that can land you the interview for your dream job?

We all admit it is a challenge!

But before we get into it, let me share a basic yet important fact that most people may have missed. Your resume does not get you the job. It helps you to get shortlisted for the interview from the pool of applicants.

Most of the companies now use ATS (Applicant Tracking System) for the initial screening of resumes. And with the current situation, because of the pandemic, most of the interviews are happening online. So it has become more important to know and understand how to work with our CV / Resume.

Here is a list of FAQs that you had submitted on my website.

Is there a difference between a Resume and a CV?
Which one should I use?

How long should a CV or Resume be?

Is it necessary to put a photograph on the CV or Resume?

Should education be mentioned first or work experience?

Watch the video as I share answers to those questions!

This is CV / Resume Tips To Help You Land a Job – Part 1. Do look out for Part 2 in this series where we will cover more FAQs.

FAQ Sunday Interview Tips is a series where I make dedicated videos to answer the questions that you have submitted on my website. We cover everything from Confidence to CV to Grooming To Personality to help you prepare for your dream job.
